  Welcome to Sigma Delta Tau at the University of Miami’s website! Sigma Delta Tau is a national sorority dedicated to enriching the college experience of women with similar ideals, to building long lasting friendships, and to fostering members' development as individuals.

  SDT's motto, "Patriae Multae Spes Una," meaning "the one hope of many people," represents the bond unifying a diverse group of women. Girls from all around the world have become best friends thanks to the ties that have been created through Sigma Delta Tau. Not only do we pride ourselves on the friendships that are created, but we have also been honored in the past at our National Convention with the Most Outstanding Chapter award, which is the highest award given by the national organization. In addition, our chapter has been recognized at the national level for raising a large amount of money for our philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse America. Sigma Delta Tau is not only an organization; it’s a lifetime bond. Networking opportunities have gotten sisters jobs at Fortune 500 companies, and friendships created through Sigma Delta Tau have kept sisters close enough to be bridesmaids in each other’s weddings.
